TASTING ROOM ASSOCIATE | PART-TIME
We’re seeking enthusiastic part-time Tasting Room Associates! As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing our customers with a welcoming atmosphere and an educational experience while representing our brand with passion, knowledge, and good vibes!
Duties of the position include:
Conducting tastings and bottle sales, guiding customers through our selection of wines
Providing customers with a welcoming and educational experience while appropriately representing the Chronicle Wines ethos
Preparing and serving a la carte cheeses, crackers, meats, and other accompaniments
Serving customers during on-site events
Participating in off-site events such as festivals and tasting events
Maintain a tidy and organized tasting room and storage space, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are met
Must be able to lift 40lbs and assist with physical tasks as needed
Requirements:
Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Must have personal transportation; limited travel will be required
Other helpful qualifications include:
Hospitality or service experience in wine is preferred
Interest and knowledge in local wines is a plus; wine enthusiasts are welcome to apply
Interest or experience in events management is a plus
Interest in food services is a plus
The Tasting Room Associate Position is part-time, with available hours between 8 to 25 hours per week, which would be a combination of shifts in the tasting room, as well as at off-site locations as our events schedule requires. The position is open for immediate start.
Our tasting room is open Thursday - Monday 12PM to 6 PM between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and Friday - Monday during the rest of the year. Applicants MUST be able to work Saturdays and Sundays, .
The first month of employment will be probationary, to determine if you are a fit for our company, and if we are a fit for you; your permanent hire will be contingent upon the evaluation of your first month’s work.
